UPDATES. The first Scottish-Polish Society was founded here in the s. During the second world war, the British Council organised a Polish house to help the Polish community socially and educationally. Soon there were homes, hostels, schools, libraries and even a Polish medical faculty at the University of Edinburgh to cater for the needs of Polish soldiers and their families.

Thanks to Dr Kingsley in January we organised a Young Talent Recital and seven youngsters of Polish descent, aged 13 to 20, sung and played various instruments in the filled to the brim room of the Edinburgh Society of Musicians.
